Sawasdee Lagoon Camping & Restaurant

Close to Phuket, this is a lovely camping spot with plenty to do, including cycling, canoeing, table football, and pétanque. There’s also a large barbecue for guests. You can choose a room for 1500 baht per night, a large fan tent for 800 baht per night, or a pitch for your own tent at 200 baht per person.

I stayed there from 28-30 Dec 2025 and everything was great. The tent doesn’t have air con, but it was reasonably comfortable. The staff really stood out, they were so nice, nicer than any staff I’ve come across before.

My partner and I have been traveling around Thailand for two and a half months, and this resort made us feel welcome. Everyone, from reception and housekeeping to the waitresses and cook, was friendly and served us with a smile. We grilled food right in front of our tent, one of our best experiences. The BBQ grill is free to use, and there are also pedal bikes, kayaks, ping-pong, and badminton, all free. There’s lots of room for kids to run around or ride bikes, so it works for couples and families. It’s close to nature, waterfalls, beautiful beaches, and markets with fresh seafood, but not nightlife. A 7/11 is about a five-minute ride away. Thanks so much!

I came in the rainy season, when things are quieter, and really enjoyed the peaceful, welcoming feel. There’s room for a morning walk and a fire pit to sit by in the evening. My room was clean and comfortable, better than I expected, and the staff were kind and always ready to help. The local food was especially good, all delicious and freshly made. The location also makes it easy to get around while staying close to nature. I had a great stay and would recommend it.
