Bayview Beach Resort Baan Grood

We spent two days and two nights at Bayview Resort in Bangrood and ate every meal at the restaurant. The food was that good, with fresh ingredients and excellent seafood. It was a peaceful stay too, on a quiet stretch of beach with no other resorts nearby. The staff were warm and attentive throughout. We loved waking up to the sunrise and taking long, quiet walks by the water. If you're after a calm getaway with great food and beautiful mornings, we highly recommend Bayview Resort.

The meals were delicious, the accommodation spotless, and the beach incredible. The owners kindly gave us lifts to and from restaurants in the nearby town, and the staff looked after us so well. We'd gladly return with the family. We had a long stay at Bayview, which is beautifully located and very well run. The staff are warm, kind and helpful, and this was easily the best place we came across in the area and town, especially for our taste. A small thing we noticed on our walks down the bay: the area around Bayview is immaculate, but there was sometimes litter as we passed other resorts. It was usually barely noticeable, though we picked some up each day. It would be lovely if the local community could put out bins or organize litter pickers. That aside, we'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Best wishes to the owners and staff, and we hope to see you again.

We booked a superior bungalow and found it spacious and clean, with a big porch. The restaurant on site was tasty and well priced, and the beach is absolutely stunning, quiet and private. The staff were so friendly and helpful. After a cat bit me, I needed a rabies vaccine, and they arranged a driver to take me. We ended up extending our stay and would happily come back. Thank you!

The people here were some of the warmest and most welcoming I've met. They treated us like family, always smiling and ready to help. When my wife was stung by a wasp during a tuktuk ride near Ban Krut, they looked after her right away, gave her advice and cream, and checked on her morning and evening. I had a rash on my hand before we arrived, and the girl at reception offered to put cream on it as soon as I showed her. They kept going the extra mile, even when they didn't need to. Thai hospitality at its best. We won’t forget that. The setting felt unreal, like being in a movie or an advert. You're in the jungle, but in safe mode, surrounded by birds and other sounds, vegetation, a perfect beach and waves you hear day and night. The furniture is old style and retro, but really good quality. Some reviews might call it old, but for us that was a plus over modern soulless design. And the bed was really comfortable. The restaurant was amazing too, with some of the best Thai food I had during our month in Thailand, at very low prices. My wife and I had never travelled outside Europe before. We're from Romania, and spent eight days here during our first time in Thailand. It wasn't just the best accommodation of that one-month trip, it was the best place we've stayed in our lives. I've visited more than 30 countries, so I have plenty to compare it with. The experience is hard to put into words. We noticed lots of guests were on their second or third stay, and we’ll probably return ourselves in the next two or three years. If you're choosing somewhere on the Thai coast and stumbled across this review, stop searching and come here. Every little detail made it feel like what Thailand has best to offer.
