Eco Inn Lite Ubon Ratchathani

The central location near the old town is a real plus. The hotel is cheap, and you can see that in the furnishings. I'm a light sleeper, so I'd recommend bringing ear plugs. The staff, from reception to the cleaning team, were friendly and tried hard to help.

There's a HUGE weekend market just a 2 minute walk away, with a nice neighborhood, plenty of nearby restaurants, a 7-11 next door, and temples within biking distance. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and my room was spacious and very clean. Free bikes were a little old, but they worked, and I can't complain about free bikes. I'd definitely stay here again!

Beds were super comfy and plush, and the hotel is simple but well placed in a good central location. It's very quiet at night, the rates are cheap, and Agoda was offering last minute rooms for 425b. Cleanliness was so-so, especially in the bathroom, but I could live with it. That's the only reason for the middling score. The bathroom smelled a bit like drains, and the first second of shower water was rust coloured. I assume I was the first guest in that room in several days. The lobby and driveway also smelled like drains, though the bedroom itself was fine with the bathroom door shut. Wifi and AC worked okay, and staff refilled the small room fridge with bottled water every day. Across the street there's a coin laundrette that also rents bikes and has a water refill machine. A 7-11 is next door, and there are a few cheap local restaurants, including some open for breakfast. The night market is a couple of minutes' walk away.

The location was good, and parking was no problem. I appreciated being allowed to park my rented motorcycle under shelter near the entrance. I stayed 2 days and don't think I'd return. The room was big and had a sofa, and the bed was comfortable, but when I sat on the sofa a cloud of dust came up. Pillow case was stained, the towels were yellowish, and there were clumps of dirt here and there. It felt like most things were done half heartedly. In the evening there were lots of water ants in the bathroom. I told the front desk, but the only option was changing rooms, which seemed like too much trouble since I'd settled in and was checking out the next day. I ended up washing them away with the bidet. It would've been nice if someone had come to look and see how bad it was.
