The Wish Residence

It’s a shame, because the hotel could be good, but the woman who runs it doesn’t respect customers or her staff. We won’t be coming back.

The service was good, it was clean, and the price was okay.

I paid 550 THB for a small unit with a double bed. Single bed units are available too. The room had free WiFi, four powerpoints, three of them with double outlets, a fridge, a regular TV, and two chairs. There were a few ants and a small house gecko inside. Outside, lots of insects were flying around, though it was the end of summer and the start of rainy season. The place is far from town, so you’ll need a taxi or three-wheeler if you don’t have a car. Occasionally a 2-rower goes along the main road, and you can get off and walk a little way in. At first the bedding seemed clean, but looking more closely it seemed a little dirty or old. The floor was a bit dusty, and the bathroom was cramped, with the shower spraying onto the toilet bowl. My only complaint was that I had to fix something inside the place for a few hours before I could go out. They offered to move me, but all my belongings were already there, so I declined.
