Homely Guest House

I ended up staying five nights because I liked it so much. It’s a little far out, but public transport makes getting back and forth inexpensive. Erkin speaks good English, knows a lot, and can help with whatever you want to do. The WiFi is strong, and there are two bathrooms, enough for the number of guests. My room and bathroom both worked as they should, and the rooms were spotless, roomy, and full of natural light.

Erkin had already been helping me plan tours, transport, and things to see in Tajikistan months before I arrived. Once there, he made me feel at home, and we had lovely conversations about life and his business. He works incredibly hard for his guests and family, and keeps trying to improve the guest house. My expectations were met and then exceeded. Erkin, thank you for everything, and all the best to you and your family. The location is in a quiet, nicer part of Dushanbe, a little outside the center. A taxi takes about ten minutes, and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable, with good air conditioning and quality beds. Each floor has fridges and water tanks, so drinking water is free and you can keep your food and drinks cold. The shared bathroom, used by two other rooms, was always very clean. Breakfast and dinner both had lots of choice, tasted great, and came in big portions. I also used the affordable laundry service, which was done properly. They even offered me watermelon when I arrived. The family puts a lot of work into these services. This was easily my best stay in Central Asia, and I’d return to Dushanbe just to stay here again. Maybe we can arrange some other tours next time.

Mr. Erkin and his family made me feel so welcome. He’s a genuine, warm host, and my stay felt relaxing and restorative. I arrived in Dushanbe tired and hungry after a very late, delayed flight from Almaty, and this felt like a real home away from home. The house is clean and peaceful, with spacious, comfortable rooms and warm, relaxing showers. The WiFi was fast and worked well. Breakfast each morning came with fresh bread or pancakes, really good butter, sour cream and milk, plus hot tea or coffee. They also serve filling, delicious dinners. This place is home to me, and I’ll keep coming back to my home in Dushanbe. All my praise to Mr. Erkin and his family. Thank you so much, and until we meet again! 🫶🏻🇹🇯

A really friendly owner and a very comfortable bed. It’s a great place to stay, with a taxi to the town center costing about 25 Tajik somoni.
