The room was beautifully kept, and the calm atmosphere made me feel cared for and welcome. I’d start the day with a warm greeting and end it with a quiet, cozy night. One evening by the pool, I watched the lights on the water in the gentle breeze, and it was one of those moments that makes travel feel magical. Palm Springs Hotel Dili felt like a hidden sanctuary in the middle of the city, not just a place to stay.

Palm Springs Hotel is ideally situated in Dili, with breathtaking views. It’s owned by a local Chinese-Timorese person deeply committed to nation building, and offers five-star service. I highly recommend it.

I spent two weeks at Palm Spring Hotel in Timor-Leste, and the care from the staff is what I remember most. At breakfast and occasional lunches at Cove, Marissa and her team learned our coffee preferences and had them ready each morning. Dinners at Sail were just as memorable, served attentively and with grace. Maria handled my room service. She made the bed daily, refreshed the towels until I asked her not to for practicality, and kept the water bottles replenished. On my final night, she left a handwritten note wishing me a safe journey. The gym and lap pool were clean and well maintained, and the pool was good for actual swimming, not just lounging. Food throughout the stay was consistently above par, prepared and served with care. Knowing the Prime Minister of Malaysia was staying at the same hotel also says something about its caliber. The staff seemed to care genuinely, and the place felt like home with the polish of a five-star retreat.
