Trendy Perge Resort & Suites

The large pools were excellent, and there were enough loungers that we never struggled to find one, even later in the day. That might change once the hotel gets busier. The lobby bar had great service, the Guest Relations team quickly handled questions and requests, and the barman at Prime Pub was lovely. Our minibar was restocked daily. Rooms were cleaned each day, though the floors were often still dirty. The rest of the service was a real problem. Outside the lobby bar, staff often barely spoke basic English, so ordering could mean trying two or three different people. Most bars had little or no table service, and waiters mostly seemed to collect empty glasses. Restaurant drinks took ages, sometimes arriving after we'd finished eating. They rarely topped up the water, and after the draft beer ran out in the main restaurant, I'm still waiting for the beer I ordered. Spare napkins were hard to get, never mind wet wipes. Rooms had no tissues unless you asked, and even then they weren't replenished unless requested again. The food was basic, fatty, and repetitive. Most days brought the same dishes, with just one or two stations changing, often using the same ingredients in slightly different ways. There wasn't much for vegetarians or people trying to eat healthily. Fresh cooking stopped 30-40 minutes before closing, so arriving for dinner around 9:00 pm could leave you with few decent choices. Food at the night bistro and snack bar was repetitive and uninspiring too. The finish also felt rushed or cheap, with unfinished details, paint marks, and areas that looked dirty or worn. The shower shelf and sealant around the doors were particularly poor, and there was building dust around light switches and power sockets. Trendy Perge is brand-new and next to Trendy Lara, but to us it felt more like a 3-star-plus stay than the 5-star property it claims to be. Entertainment was short, basic, and repetitive, like the food. Evening shows felt like gap fillers. There was often live music at the central bar, which was pleasant enough, but it was so loud we couldn't sit outside and talk. There was no quiet outdoor spot to get away from it. We just got back from a week's holiday, and we won't return or recommend it. This was a very basic hotel with terrible service and even worse food. We've had better stays in 3-star hotels, and I don't understand how this place got a 5-star rating.

The food was amazing, and the hotel's Mediterranean Modern Luxury look made a strong impression. It's a brand-new place with wide open areas that give you room to breathe, the opposite of a crowded resort feel. Staff made a point of getting to know each guest from arrival and kept that personal attention up during the stay. I'll definitely come back.

At the Lobby Bar (Lucerna), Goksel and Burscu made my mum and me feel like family. They were warm, hardworking, and always ready to help with questions about the island or anything we needed during our stay. They remembered our orders, and Goksel even made me a custom drink called “Alysha’s Dream,” which will be on the menu soon. They're amazing staff and a real credit to the hotel.

The rooms were perfectly clean, and the service was ultra all-inclusive. It's a beautiful hotel with extremely friendly staff who were always willing to help. We'll definitely come back!
