Ark Suite Hotel

It's a nice little hotel with roomy spaces, friendly staff, and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The beach was about a 20-minute walk, though the hotel runs a free shuttle there. It's well suited to self-catering. All-inclusive food was limited and may not suit fussy eaters, but the standard was great. The pools were a good size and had enough sun loungers.

We had a fantastic time in this affordable hotel and apartment complex. Our apartment had big rooms, and the swimming pools and facilities were nice. The employees were very friendly, and the food was great. Really good value for the price, definitely recommend it!

The one drawback is the long distance from the airport. Apart from that, this place was a gem. I stayed five nights at the end of August with my friend and her two children, and we all loved it. Staff were friendly, the food had a good variety and tasted great, and the entertainment was really good. The beach is conveniently close, with shuttle buses provided. We booked a safari excursion through the hotel agent, which was amazing and so much fun. I also tried the hotel's Turkish bath and thought it was great value. I'd definitely go back.

The poolside bar staff were a bright spot, friendly and attentive when making drinks. The rest of the stay was a huge letdown. After lovely visits in 2022 and 2023, coming back to Ark Suite Hotel in August 2025 was a mistake, and I won't return. The evenings have lost their spark since Pinocchio left. The children adored him, and adults enjoyed his energy. Ken, the new entertainer, barely engages with the kids, rarely smiles, and mostly chats with adults. The shows feel dull and repetitive, so staying in for them isn't worthwhile. The hotel now feels lifeless at night. Our room was in awful condition, with gum stuck to the wardrobe, a curtain coming away, and plenty of other faults. We didn't report them because it seemed nobody cared. We just had breakfast, then spent the days and nights away because being there was miserable. The food wasn't much better. We mostly went self-catering or got something from the pool bar, which was only okay. The beach is a long way off, and in the summer heat the kids didn't want the trip, so sometimes we ordered takeaway to the room. The atmosphere used to be lively and good value for a three-star hotel. Now it feels like a tired two-star place at best. Goodbye, Ark Hotel.
