Aspen Hotel

The room was on the small side, but it was spotless and comfortable, and breakfast was surprisingly good each morning. The staff were warm and quick to help. Aspen Hotel has a cozy boutique feel, and the location in the heart of Kaleiçi is ideal, with the marina and lovely old streets just steps away. I loved staying here and would happily return to Aspen.

The room was clean and worked fine for us, though two people could use more drawer and hanging space. Breakfast was decent, with plenty to choose from, and the staff were helpful. We had a lovely stay in a great location. The one nuisance was noise from the restaurant and club next door.

The building and its history give this place a special atmosphere, and the pool was a highlight for me, calm, clean, and surrounded by charming architecture. The staff were friendly, professional, and ready to help at any hour, always with a smile. Our room was good, with a new A/C that cooled properly, which matters in summer. Everything seemed well looked after. Sound and light insulation could be better, but those issues didn't take much away from the stay.

The hotel is in Old Town, which was handy for the area’s nightlife and pricier restaurants. More reasonably priced food was on the main road, about a 10-15 minute walk away. Getting to the entrance also means walking up a steep hill, something to consider if walking is difficult. My husband had torn his Achilles several weeks earlier, so it mattered for us. We had a triple room with a bed for each person, right beside the pool. It was quite small and oddly shaped, though there were lots of chairs and tables around it. The A/C worked really well, and we could set it to a low temperature. The room itself looked different from the pictures posted here. It felt old and bare, wasn't very clean, and the bathroom needed work. There was a wet patch on the floor when we arrived, which I think came from the toilet, and the flush button sometimes stuck.
