Aydın Otel Pansiyon

I’m writing this at 3:00 AM, exhausted and distressed, because I want others to avoid this hotel. I’m being bitten by bed bugs and can’t sleep. My body is covered in painful, itchy bites, and I’m awake in the middle of the night dealing with them. You don’t see them at first; they hide and come out when they sense you’re asleep, so by the time you realize what’s happening, it’s too late. When I told management, they confirmed what I feared but dismissed it as a “normal” occurrence there. They handed me a can of insect spray, which was nowhere near enough for what seems like a severe infestation. This has left me in pain and turned the trip into a nightmare memory. Please learn from my experience and stay somewhere else.

The location was perfect, and the room was clean and big during my seven-day stay. The bathroom was a little cramped, with a small sink. If you just need a place to sleep that’s within easy reach of everything, this works well.

No hospitality, and very impolite. I booked a luxury room but was put in a normal one. I made another reservation for a luxury room a few days later, paid in advance, and again found that the room had been given to someone else. I had to call the cops to sort out the situation. Definitely not recommended.

We’re used to sleeping in cheap places, so we’re not very demanding, but this wasn’t a good stay. The beds were old and uncomfortable. We spent four nights there and couldn’t sleep on two of them: one night a drunk woman tried to open our door in the middle of the night, and on another, someone angry with the hotel was shouting and complaining very late. On checkout day, after those four nights, we asked the day shift worker to hold our very heavy luggage for a few hours. They said no, so we had to carry it around all day before our 7 PM bus to Istambul. That wasn’t kind. I hope the hotel shows future travellers more kindness and empathy.
