Blue Sea Garden

The street stayed noisy and busy until about 1 am, so this may not suit anyone who needs an early night. It didn’t bother us. We also ran into electricity cuts around town and the hotel Wi-Fi often went down in the evenings. We had our own internet service, which came in handy. It was the hottest day in 95 years, I was told, with wildfires in the wilderness, and even our chocolate birds melted in the room. The pool was clean and just the right temperature, and the restaurant had a romantic feel, with olive, lime, and pomegranate trees around us and live local Turkish music each night. We enjoyed the shower, bed, views, and location near lots of higher end, classy establishments. The staff were friendly and fun. When we mentioned after dinner that we had no towels, the manager joked that he’d already sneaked in and left some before we asked. He was a funny guy. They gave us free bottled water, which mattered since you can’t drink the tap water there, plus a nice discount on food and drinks. Thanks to the staff, the owner, and the wild dog they keep. It’s a hard-working crew, so get some rest on your days off!

After a terrible stay at another hotel, I was looking for somewhere to rescue my vacation. This place did that for me. The welcome was warm and sincere, and the staff made me feel at home right away. Breakfast arrived fresh and tasty each morning, and my room was clean, stylish, and thoughtfully put together. It felt comfortable and enjoyable to stay in. I’m grateful I found the hotel and plan to come back on my next trip.

The breakfast was the worst I can remember having on my holidays. I think they may use leftovers from the restaurant. The ground-floor room was moldy and smelled awful, and the oversized pillows weren’t comfortable for sleeping. Music from the courtyard restaurant played loudly until midnight, which made it hard to relax or sleep. And if you have a car, parking is a nightmare.

We were in a great central spot, with it easy to get around from the hotel. The traditional Turkish breakfast was incredible, with excellent service and quality. We had dinner there one night too and were just as pleased with the food and service. We stayed three nights and especially appreciated the workers. They were attentive, welcoming, and kind.
