The breakfast room was bright and spacious, but the selection was so limited that I can’t really call it breakfast. Getting to the hotel is convenient if you arrive at Otogarı İlçelerarası Terminali, since it’s nearby. For frequent sightseeing, though, it’s a poor fit because the center and beach are far away. The room felt old and wasn’t cleaned well. There were no hangers or even a rail in the closet at first, so I had to call reception to bring both. The phone worked, but the TV signal was weak. The bathroom was dirty and moldy, with no proper shower, just a hose coming out of the wall and a hole in the floor. There weren’t even basic shower items.

gunes hotel felt more like a bus station than a place where people could be comfortable. It was dirty and dusty everywhere, and didn’t make for a dream stay.

The location was good, but breakfast choices were limited. The staff didn’t seem very welcoming, though it may have been the language barrier that gave me that impression.

Water was dripping into the toilet from upstairs. The windows really need mosquito screens. I tried the air conditioner a couple of times, but couldn’t tell whether it was working.
