Gvar Apart-Hotel

I couldn’t stay even an hour. The room smelled foul, like mold, rotten substances, and vomit, and there were bugs everywhere. Hygiene was nonexistent. I had to leave right away because of the conditions, and even went to the hospital because of how bad it was. They refused my refund request and made a mockery of the situation. I paid for a room I couldn’t use for more than an hour and got none of the money back. When we tried to discuss it, the owner was aggressive and rude and threatened us instead of addressing our concerns. The website photos are completely misleading and nothing like the actual place. This ruined our holiday. I strongly advise people to stay away; I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what we did.

The owner and staff did a lot to meet my family’s needs, and I’m very thankful for their service. They made our time in Antalya and at the hotel more enjoyable. The location was very good too, right among the shops and mall, which is great if you enjoy shopping.

The location is good: a mosque and museum are 10 seconds away, the harbour is four minutes on foot, the town center is around the corner, and buses and trams are very close. The people were friendly, but the building and rooms need a huge amount of work. Our apartment wasn’t serviced, and it had no kitchen or washing machine despite that being what we booked. The walls are thin, so you hear everything from other rooms, including noisy families. There’s no lift in the old building, and the stair lights don’t come on until halfway up, which is dangerous. We were given a “superior family room” without a flushing toilet, then moved after complaining to a still poor room with a better toilet. Rooms and apartments were dirty, poorly ventilated, and had exposed wires hanging from the lights, broken showers, bad plumbing, no daily cleaning, a TV that didn’t work, holes in the bedding, old torn mattresses, and doors and locks falling apart. In one room, a bed under a drawer meant the door couldn’t shut, and one room’s old air conditioner wasn’t very good. It was VERY EXPENSIVE for dirty, old rooms and no service. Our room looked nothing like the photos, which felt deceptive. They took all our money before we saw the rooms. If I’d seen them first, I wouldn’t have paid.

There’s no parking lot. The rooms smell, the bathroom is dirty, and the walls are so thin you can hear everything, even someone breathing in the next room. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Don’t even think about booking it!
