Hotel Alyans

I booked eight rooms, and two had air conditioning that didn’t work, so we were sleeping in sauna-like heat. The owner wouldn’t move us. In another room, I’d reserved a family room with two beds but was given one double bed instead. He refused to change it, and two people had to squeeze into that bed for the night. I also found underwear from previous guests hanging in the bathroom. Disgusting. It’s a cheap hotel, so I didn’t expect much, just a clean room, working air conditioning, and the reservation I’d made online. They didn’t even meet those basic requirements. I wouldn’t stay here again even at a lower price. It’s not worth it.

This felt more like a Rwandan refugee camp than a hotel. There was no hot water in the shower, the lights were burnt out, and the TV didn’t work. They stole my money and valuables. I called the police, but they wouldn’t do anything. It’s a shame to spend money in Turkey. I’ll never return to this hungry country.

The manager is very nice, though he doesn’t know English. This is the cheapest hotel around if you want a budget stay, and it’s connected nearby to a tram station.

There’s work to be done on cleanliness, professionalism, and whether you’re getting good value for your money. Maybe the owner will take note.
