The room looked promising when we arrived, apart from a few minor marks, but the problems kept adding up. The jacuzzi took about 15 minutes for its water to warm, then more than two hours to fill because the pressure was so low. Once we got in, the jets didn’t work, so it was just a huge bath that had taken hours to run. The shower never got hot either, including the next day. Reception said the boiler was on the roof and that the weather meant nobody could check it, then promised it would be fixed the following day. It wasn’t. They offered us a free extra night, but we didn’t want to stay without hot water. At checkout, nobody was at reception, so we couldn’t ask about a partial refund. The room also wasn’t cleaned during our stay. There was one coffee, just two glasses despite the small kitchen and dishwasher, and some minor damage. For a two-night Christmas stay in the jacuzzi room, this was a terrible experience. I’d spend my money somewhere else.

We arrived five hours before check-in, and they let us into our room early. The staff were really friendly, and the service was excellent. Everything else was as expected. I’d highly recommend it for the quality and price.

The location is handy, right near the center of the old city, and the rooms look nicely decorated. But you hear everything through the thin walls, especially bathroom noises from neighboring rooms. Our room was also missing basics, including toilet paper. Check-in took 20 minutes while the receptionist entered each passport detail with one finger. Staff communication in English was poor, and service felt slow and laid-back. Housekeeping came every two days rather than daily, and it was often incomplete. I had to request towels and coffee capsules. They brought the towels, but said they couldn’t help with the capsules. At around $100 a night, I expected better. And a note about the whole city: if you don’t speak Turkish, people may try to overcharge you. Ask the price before accepting any service.

The location made it easy to walk around the heart of the old town, and I loved spending my workdays on the upstairs terrace. The hotel itself is charming and beautiful. I stayed for 33 days, and the owner welcomed me every day and made the place feel like home. Thanks so much for hosting me for all that time. I’ll definitely be back ❤️
