In the okd town (kaleici), this is a lively hostel with friendly staff, a good price, and a great location. There's a bar, and sometimes live music. I visited in low season and highly recommend it.

🚨 WARNING: BED BUGS! 🚨 It looks like a fun party hostel from the outside, and the reggae music at night is good, but the management needs to do a serious deep clean. The toilets always stink, and I've never seen wooden planks used in a shower partition before. They look like they haven't been scrubbed in years, and stepping on them barefoot feels really unhygienic. The bed bug problem also hadn't been fully dealt with. It had reportedly been going on since June, according to Hostelworld, and I stayed in August. I hope management has properly fixed it. If you're thinking about staying, check the walls by the shared beds and your mattress. I was itchy for more than a week, and other guests and I had to leave in the middle of the night because of it. I hope you don't have to go through that.

I'd stayed here a few times and really enjoyed it. After recently divorcing my Turkish lover (gay marriage), I met a guy in my dorm and we were caught making sweet love. The staff and owner threatened to hit me and made me leave immediately. Don't go here if you're gay. It may look hippie, but they don't seem to believe in love power, only hate it seems!
