The Orange Cactus

We’ll definitely come back. The apartment gave us plenty of space, was clean, and had all the amenities we needed. It’s good value and well placed: the neighborhood isn’t too touristy, so things cost less, and there are supermarkets and plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. We could cook at home or eat out. The metro is a five-minute walk, and a nearby bus stop gets you to the old town quickly. The hosts were warm, professional, and went out of their way to help, even with the language barrier. The shower developed a problem the night before we left, and they handled it so well. It was our fault, but they didn’t blame us and focused on our safety. They replaced the shower within 30 minutes, checked that the apartment was safe, then let us stay in the same place since we didn’t want to move on our last night. We highly recommend it if you want space, a relaxing stay, and good value.

We normally book hotels or resorts, but tried an apartment this time and were really impressed. It was peaceful, nice, and great value, and the staff were brilliant. I’d tell anyone to give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

There’s a lovely mountain view, and although the place is a bit outside the city center, getting around is easy. The metro goes straight to the old city, buses can take you to the center or beach, and the main bus station is close enough to walk to for trips around Turkey. There are loads of restaurants, supermarkets, a steakhouse, bakery, and ice cream shop within a four-minute walk. The room had a kitchen, a new washing machine, and a great shower with hot water anytime. A good bakery and baklava shop are about three minutes away. After staying in three other Antalya hostels, we were thrilled to find an elevator instead of those tiny, twisting stairs. The apartment was fantastic and the owner was lovely, helping with anything we needed. It’s the sort of place that might cost two or three times more in the city center. When we checked Google, we were a little suspicious that there were only a few reviews from the previous two months, but it’s simply brand new, with everything new as of May 2026. It’s a bit away from the center, but the room was quiet despite being near the main road. Definitely recommend it.

We’ve stayed at the orange cactus twice while coming to Antalya IVF for IVF treatment, since it’s only a ten-minute walk away. The owner and staff are all amazing. We’ve already recommended it to other people staying here, and they enjoyed it too. We’ll stay again when we need to come back.
