The Pearl Airport Hotel

Room 501 is in the attic. I booked a single and got a double bed. The washroom is beautiful and very clean in every corner, though its door is tucked behind the room door. Check-in was possible at any time, despite something I’d read saying 11 pm was the latest. They also gave me a wake-up call at 6 am as I’d asked. This smooth stay at a good hotel became part of my lovely memories of cute Turkey and Istanbul :)

As a solo female traveler, I’d recommend this place. The area looked a little run down on arrival, but I felt safe inside. The rooms and bathroom were very clean and had everything I needed. Reception called a taxi for my early flight, and it arrived within five minutes. The underfloor heating was a big plus too.

The room had everything I needed and was clean and comfortable. I was very pleased with the reception and location. When I checked out, they arranged a taxi and treated me to a good coffee. I’d come back here.

It’s handy for the airport, and the hotel is very clean. We had the best bathroom of our trip, plus every room has AC and a balcony. The staff were quite polite and even helped us write a note in Turkish to communicate at the airport. There isn’t anything to do in this area, though, so for touring Istanbul I’d stay closer to the city. Breakfast was okay, just cheese and vegetables the morning we were there. The room’s coffee and tea maker was a nice extra. A taxi from the airport cost only 300TL, but when we asked the hotel to book one back, it was 450TL. I wish there were a standard airport rate.
