Cunda Alesta Otel

The room was tiny, but that didn't bother us at all. It was very clean and had what we needed. We were very happy with the service and atmosphere. The hosts were welcoming and kind, and breakfast was more than excellent. The hotel is new, very clean and cozy, with a charming stone building and lovely authentic details. The price was very good too.

The breakfasts Auntie made were legendary, with lots of variety and great flavor. I still remember her homemade mulberry jam. Selma Hanım was attentive and sincere, and I had lovely evening chats with Bekir Bey. Gülseren Hanım shared heartfelt thoughts about Cunda and life that meant a lot to me. This is clearly a family-run place, and that feeling comes through everywhere. The hotel is spotless and well cared for, around 250 meters above Taş Kahve, in a great spot that's easy to reach on foot. The value is amazing compared with many Cunda boutique hotels. I've been visiting Cunda for about 20 years, but this was the most peaceful and welcoming place I've stayed. I spent 7 nights here on Cunda Island in Ayvalık and really enjoyed it. The stone and wood interior felt warm and thoughtfully put together, and I was glad I'd chosen it. I left very satisfied and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Cunda.

The rooms are extremely small, and the lower floors are dark. We were placed on the ground floor beside reception, supposedly to make the rooms easier to access, though we hadn't asked for that. There was also a lot of noise from reception. Check your room ahead of time if you can, and if you're offered this arrangement, consider asking to change. Seeing it beforehand would be a good idea.

We didn't want to leave, the hotel's architecture and location were so lovely. The rooms were clean and spacious, and breakfast was fantastic, more than we could finish. Pati and Nefes became such sweet friends. Thanks for giving us a wonderful holiday, and thank you for everything.
