Parion House Hotel

The location is the one clear positive. Inside, things feel old, patched up, and shabby. The bathroom was dirty, and the corridor carpet had awful stains. There’s no elevator from reception, so you have to carry your suitcases up one floor to reach it. With the windows shut, outside noise is still quite audible. Breakfast was minimal but decent. The website photos seem to be from when the hotel first opened, because it doesn’t look that way now.

The location is excellent, and we had a panoramic view from the balcony. Our room was spacious, the beds comfortable, and the hotel clean. We stayed at Parion House Hotel on 23-23 Sept 2023 and were very pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was kind and nice, and helped us with many questions.

The best thing is the location: right by the ferry station and seaside promenade, with the marina and Trojan horse to the right, and the old center, clock tower, shops, and restaurants to the left. Breakfast was good, though the choice was limited, and I appreciated being able to control the AC in the room. The common areas and lobby look tired. Our room was tiny with hardly any furniture or places for belongings, and even the minibar sat on the floor. The bathroom seemed old and dirty, with rust and mold, as in my photos. The towels were coming apart, and the shower stall was so small that washing my hair was uncomfortable. There was no balcony. In the breakfast room, the tables and chairs were packed too close together to sit comfortably. Parking was hard to find, and we ended up paying for a spot quite far away. The photos seem somewhat edited, and show the place as it looks from a distance.

A convenient location, and the rooms are quiet.
