Wyndham Cerkezkoy Hotel

The staff were the one good thing, always ready to help. Otherwise, this place isn't close to a 5-star hotel. It's very old, the furniture is dated, and the rooms aren't clean. The bathroom is old and unpleasant to use, and there's not even a toilet brush.

The bedding was very clean, and the rooms were quiet enough that I slept just fine. Still, I'll never forget this stay with my colleagues, and not in a good way. Three of us were trapped in the elevator twice when it malfunctioned. The AC was outdated and broken, the shower door was broken too, and the carpet in the rooms felt crispy and crunchy. If you're an aspiring film maker, this hotel has a really unusual, unnerving atmosphere and would be worth scouting as a location.

The staff were friendly and very welcoming, but there's little else to praise. The hotel sits in an industrial area and needs renovation. The yogis should be changed, and the floor needs cleaning. I can't recommend the food either. Continental breakfast costs an extra 10 euros per person, but it was cold and tasteless even though it was offered. The indoor pool and surrounding area are crumbling and need a thorough overhaul. The only things that resemble a spa are the saunas, and they aren't operating.

The location was awful, in a completely industrial area with nothing nearby. The hotel is old and poorly maintained, and it felt like the mosquitoes were the main guests. Breakfast was nearly gone even though we arrived 45-50 minutes before it closed. Our AC didn't work; they never fixed it and left an air cooler that only moved the hot air around. Turkish Airlines put us here because of a delay on their side, but I wish I'd spent those 12 hours at the airport instead. Probably the worst hotel I've stayed in.
