Boyalik Demirel Residence

We and the friends and family who came to visit us were all delighted with the place, and we’d happily book it again. You get a full holiday apartment with hotel service, including breakfast, and you can order food at any time and have it brought to your room if you like. Prices are lower than at local restaurants. There’s a large fridge, so you can bring your own food and drinks, which can save quite a bit, especially on drinks. Visitors are welcome too, something that can be difficult at hotels. With a pool and a great concept, it’s a lovely option if you want home comforts without giving up hotel services.

At 1:50 PM the room was still filthy, even though check-in was listed as 2:14 PM. We left our bags there and went out. While cleaning, they put the things we’d hung in the closet into a bag. When we came back that evening, we went looking for them and called the staff. What a disgrace, what a joke! They seemed surprised and upset when we showed up with an Otelz booking. They acted as if they’d blocked us from the system and normally didn’t want hotel guests. :) They did let us stay, but since it was just one night, we didn’t want to make a fuss. They wouldn’t take a credit card and asked for cash, saying they didn’t have a POS machine.

The views of the sea are hard to beat, and the rooms are spacious and quiet. It’s clean enough, the service is quick, and the staff are attentive and friendly. They answered all our questions readily. Families with children may especially like the sea view. The price felt reasonable for the service, location, and view, and we were very pleased.

The pool was the one drawback: it’s small and tucked away where there’s no sun, so it wasn’t very useful. Breakfast is a basic Turkish spread without a huge selection, but it was enough. The staff are friendly, and I’d choose this hotel again for its rooms and welcoming feel.
