We were charged 8,000 Turkish lira for a stay that was so bad we had to leave early. The first room was dirty, with stained towels, hair, and crumbs, and its shower and faucet were broken. It was tiny despite having three beds, and the other guests were noisy, drunk, and apparently on drugs. There was no Wi-Fi. The second room wasn’t much better: the air conditioning failed three times in unbearable heat, several lights didn’t work, and the balcony faced a wall or building. No technician came and no refund was offered. The door squeaked terribly. The “boss” seemed friendly at first, but was rude and completely incompetent and stupid. Read this before booking, or you may make one of the worst mistakes of your life.

Avoid this hotel. The rooms were dirty, with hair, crumbs, and stained towels, and the shower and faucet were broken. The staff were “friendly” but incompetent, and there was a strange person at the hotel. It was a nightmarish stay.

Yildirim Otel is just five minutes from the sea, and the location was hard to beat. We had an awesome family vacation. The food was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel at home.

I stayed five nights last week and really enjoyed it. It’s a lovely family-run hotel and business, with professional, friendly service. I’d recommend it if you want to be near Altinkum beach.
