Arcadia Blue Istanbul Hotel

The location and views over historic Istanbul were highlights, and the city’s atmosphere and lovely weather made the visit memorable. One morning, with calm, sunny, comfortable conditions, we asked politely if we could have breakfast outside. The staff seemed visibly irritated and refused without much flexibility or warmth. Instead, we had to eat indoors behind heavy curtains, which took away from the panoramic view, one of the hotel’s best features. I understand there may be operational policies, but a more gracious response to a reasonable request would have improved the stay. The setting deserves a more accommodating approach.

The 9th floor was a lovely highlight, with a good breakfast and a stunning view of the city and its landmarks. I also had iftar dinner there at sunset, and they thoughtfully adapted the meal because I don’t eat meat. It still felt authentic, which made it special. Arcadia Blue Hotel is right among the main attractions, so I could explore on foot and enjoy the city’s energy. I felt welcomed and well looked after from the start, and my room was comfortable, well designed, and a good place to unwind after a full day out. It worked especially well for a solo trip, since I felt calm and safe while still being in the middle of things. I loved my stay.

Breakfast was a real standout at Arcadia Blue Hotel. Rather than a big buffet, you choose from the menu and everything is made fresh and brought to the table, including custom omelets, cereals, and other options. There can be a short wait, but that seemed reasonable. We appreciated the focus on avoiding waste and excess, a breakfast approach we hadn’t encountered at other hotels. The rooftop dining area also has an amazing 360° view of the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Istanbul’s skyline. The rooms were extremely clean, and the whole hotel was spotless. Batuhan and Furkan looked after us throughout our stay, always attentive, professional, and helpful. The rest of the team were friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive too. The location made exploring on foot easy, with the Hagia Sophia and Sultan-Ahmed-Moschee (Blue Mosque) just steps away, and the Galata Bridge and Kapalı Çarşı (Grand Bazaar) within walking distance. We were very happy with our stay and will book again.

Ask the staff about a room on a higher floor, the view is gorgeous, just like the photos. Rooms are clean and spacious compared with most European hotels. The location is great for the T1 tram, the Blue Mosque, and major sights in the European area. Food and supermarkets are only about a five-minute walk away. Breakfast got a bit boring after the first day, though. You order from a menu instead of having a buffet.
