We had a dreadful stay, and I strongly advise against booking here. The place is extremely narrow and small, with no lift, so getting luggage up the steep spiral stairs is a real hassle. Our first room was tiny for two, with no wardrobe, just one desk and one chair, so our things stayed in suitcases. The toilet tank was broken, the linen looked old and worn, and little hairs from previous guests were still there after washing. We asked to see a slightly larger room. It was bigger, but the shower area was so cramped its door hit the toilet and wouldn’t open fully. The listed hairdryer wasn’t there. Electricity and water went off several times without warning, and parts of the old showerhead fell off while we were using it. The Wi-Fi was down for all four days. The owner kept saying it would be fixed soon, but it never was. When we asked again, he blamed us and claimed it worked for everyone else, even though it didn’t work in our room the whole time. Cleaning was another problem. The housekeeper came only when the owner personally told her to, ignored guest requests, and was rude, sighing in annoyance when we asked for anything. Despite our messages, the room wasn’t cleaned every day. At the last cleaning, no towels were brought. The reception was always empty, and the owner only appeared in the morning to hand out breakfast. When we contacted him, he replied an hour later that he wasn’t there and told us to go downstairs and get towels from a first-floor cabinet. Bottled water also wasn’t supplied regularly, so we had to keep asking. The replacement sheets had awful stains. When we asked to have them changed, the owner said we’d stained them ourselves. It felt like the guest was always wrong and the owner always right. One morning he left breakfast on the floor outside our door. Later, by phone, he said he’d “left it and ran away so he wouldn’t have to hear our complaints.” For their prices, there are many genuinely lovely hotels nearby. Don’t be taken in by the photos or the obviously fake positive reviews. Our experience was the complete opposite.

The stay was very disappointing. The room’s air conditioner was broken when we arrived. We told the staff several times, but they neither fixed it nor offered another solution, which made things very uncomfortable in the heat. What was advertised also didn’t seem honest compared with what we found at the hotel. Some staff behaved in an unprofessional and disrespectful way. The place may have potential, but service and transparency need a lot of work. I can’t recommend staying here.

We really liked our stay. The area wasn’t too noisy, the rooms were cleaned, and the owner was very polite. The room warmed up quickly, the air conditioning worked, and there was a TV where we watched different films. Breakfast was delicious, with endless coffee and tea, and the water was good. We were there from 02.12.25 to 08.12.25. I recommend it to everyone.

I only booked one night, thankfully, or my vacation might have been ruined. When I got back to the hotel, I found one of my suitcases had been broken into and its contents disturbed. Breakfast also didn’t arrive the next morning. I realized the manager knew the lock was broken and the case had been tampered with. He probably thought I’d put cash and valuables inside. This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Hotels in Romania are much safer than hotels in Turkey. Earlier, I’d arrived around 11:00 AM to leave my suitcase while waiting for the room. The owner was friendly and let us in. We left the case behind the reception desk and went for a walk around Istanbul. He later called to say the room was ready, but I was far away and told him I’d be late. He said I had room number 1 and the key was on the reception desk, then put my suitcase inside.
