Goreme Suites

The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help, and the garden and view are lovely. But the rest was average or below. My kids had a nice room, though the bathroom smelled so bad it was barely usable. We complained and were told the toilet needed fixing. They shouldn’t have put us in a room with a broken sewer line. Details were missed elsewhere too: the shampoo bottles were half full, as if left by previous guests, toilet paper wasn’t replenished after cleaning, and there was dust on the furniture and window ledges. Our room faced the street, and trucks on the tiny road made crashing noise at 6 AM every morning, waking us up. For the price it was okay, but there are many more special places to stay in Goreme.

The views from our room and terrace were breathtaking, so we didn’t need to go anywhere else for photos. The location was exceptional, and the rooms and air conditioning were great. Staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We had coffee with them and felt like family; they were caring and hospitable. Breakfast had lots of variety and was personalized to what we liked. They also packed breakfast for our early flight so we wouldn’t miss it. Tea, Nescafe, and water were available all day and night in the lobby kitchen, which made us feel at home. Their restaurant suggestions were great, so ask them! Thanks to Emrah and Cihan for making our stay so special.

Watching the balloons drift through the lovely garden, actually through it and not above it, was unforgettable. The hotel has possibly the best views in Göreme, and definitely the friendliest staff. The owner is a unique character, always cheerful, helpful, and full of information. I don’t think there’s anywhere else on earth where you’d have that same experience.

The view was stunning, and the short walk from town felt worth it for the quiet and peace. It’s a cozy, welcoming place, really quiet too. They helped us arrange all our trips, and the breakfast was the best we’ve had at any hotel.
