This was one of the highlights of our three weeks in Türkiye. We came to explore the valley and Ihlara Valley, and even with the rain, we really enjoyed discovering Guzelyurt. We’d booked two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel was lovely, with gorgeous views, a beautiful room, great service, and everything very clean. I’ve since seen lower reviews from the same period. I imagine Eid made the hotels especially busy, and the weather had been unusually wet, but we had a great stay.

The terrace view of Mount Hasan was the highlight for me. We found Güzelyurt by chance and were glad we did: lovely mountain scenery, a charming town center, and plenty of cave house ruins to explore. The room had a nice, authentic feel and was clean, and the owner was friendly and helpful. We stayed one night and enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in nearby buildings. The music was a fun mix, from Linkin Park to Cat Stevens and Celine Dion.

The staff were very friendly and willing to help with any issue, and the hotel’s location and views are lovely. That said, the place needs serious renovation, even though it has a lot of potential. We rented four rooms, and nearly every bathroom had a water leak. The rooms also had a strong damp smell. Ihlara Valley is very close and well worth a visit.

There’s a nice view from the sitting area that comes with pretty much every room. The hotel runs along the hillside, and you can walk around for a 180° view. Internet worked well, though it didn’t reach deep into the bedroom in the cave.

We loved our stay at Ihlara Mansions. The room was beautiful, and the setting and location felt unique. Breakfast was a delicious Turkish spread. It felt like more than a hotel stay, and we’d definitely come back! 🙌😍
