Altun Life

A disaster. I went in and nobody was there. Someone appeared after a while, but my two-bed room wasn't available, so I ended up at the hotel next door. A nightmare.

The location was good, about 1-1.5 km from the centre, but I wouldn't stay here again. I spent four nights in a dirty room, and housekeeping didn't clean it daily. The shower was broken when I asked to have it fixed. There was hot water, at least. Despite the advertised 24-hour check-in, I arrived at 11pm and found my room had been given to someone else. My only option was a room on the 5th floor. Without a reservation, you're also asked to pay double in cash. A young man with black hair at the counter asked me for much more than I owed, which was very disappointing. Breakfast was ordinary: one boiled egg, bread, tomato and cucumber slices, jam, and butter.

There's not enough room in either the bedroom or bathroom, and the bathroom is so cramped it's hard to shower. The service is bad, and they hardly provide anything. Breakfast is supposedly offered, but you're lucky if you actually get it. The bed cover and everything else were bad, the AC barely worked, and the bedsheet had a blood stain. For that price, the whole stay was awful. If you book through a third-party app, they may tell you on arrival that they'll cancel that reservation and give you a direct booking instead.

It's a practical place if you just need somewhere to sleep, rest, and have breakfast without luxuries. For the price, I found it pretty good, and the staff were genuinely friendly. The rooms could be improved, though I think cleanliness can sometimes depend on the other guests too. The location makes it easy to reach lots of lovely places quickly. It can get a little noisy, which feels normal for such a popular area. And the cats are cute. I'd recommend it with those caveats.
