Portofino Hotel

We're staying here now and really enjoying it. The hotel is lovely, with very clean rooms and towels and beds changed often. It's right across from the beach. The staff are fantastic and honestly can't do enough for us. Special mention to Josef and his friend, always attentive and smiling.

The location and free beach sunbeds are the only positives for me. Rooms are tired and old, and what they call a double bed is two singles pushed together. Our main light didn't work, and when we complained about the leaking AC, the engineer redirected the water outside, leaving our balcony wet and slippery. There's no shower tray, so water runs across the bathroom, and our fridge was in a terrible state with yellow stains. There aren't enough pool sunbeds, so you have to reserve one early or go without. Food choices are limited, and much the same dishes come out every day. The stairs feel dangerous, and the lift looks like it's from the 1970s. I don't recommend this hotel. I'd pay a little more for somewhere better.

The food and location are amazing. The manager is a lovely guy who can't do enough for you, and all the other workers are lovely too xxx

We were a family of 6 and stayed for 2 weeks in July and Aug. The hotel is very clean, the pool is great, and the beach is close with free hotel sunbeds. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and the fantastic manager sorted out any little problem straight away. The pool bar is lovely, with great staff too. We had a really relaxing holiday. We booked bed and breakfast, and breakfast is Turkish style. Most guests were Turkish holidaymakers, which we actually liked and didn't find a problem. Our room was clean, nice for sleeping and getting ready, and had a nice view. Wi-Fi worked throughout the hotel. It's very central for the shops, bars and beach, and the bus to Marmaras runs outside. The area is very flat. I'll definitely book again. Thanks, hotel portofino, for a lovely holiday in Turkey.
