Acacia Mansion Hotel

I’d definitely come back. The staff were friendly and ready to help, and the room was clean, though it could have been more functional. There was a steady dripping sound from the ceiling, so we had to wear earplugs every night. Breakfast was excellent, with sweet and savory choices. Having a restaurant in the hotel is a big plus too. After a long day, we could eat downstairs and head straight to our room. It’s also close to Sultanahmet square, which is very convenient.

It exceeded my expectations. The room smelled nice when we arrived, and all the staff were attentive and friendly. There are lots of restaurants nearby, though the one at the hotel is already top-notch. A convenience store is close too. You can walk to the landmarks and Bazaar, just expect some uphill climbs.

Casa de Madera was delicious, and the staff there greeted us like family and remembered us when we came in. Omar, Hillel, and Apo also gave us great sightseeing tips and helped us plan. After four nights, the people at Acacia Mansion Hotel felt like friends, which made leaving hard. Our room was on the small side but comfortable, and it’s a short uphill walk to the Sultanahmet Mosque area. Take it slowly and enjoy the climb. It’s not the Ritz Carlton, but I’d happily choose this cozy, family-run hotel again.

The rooms are on the small side and don’t block much sound, but I really had no other complaints. This is a great base for a first visit to the city, especially for seeing Sultanahmet’s main sights. The location is excellent, the rooms were clean, breakfast was nice, and the staff were lovely. We paid €43 a night through a Booking offer, which was hard to beat.
