Anemon Koleksiyon Galata Otel

A lovely place to take a break on a walking tour from Karaköy to Galata. This wonderful hotel's cafe is right at the corner of Galata Tower. We really enjoyed the good vibes and the staff's politeness, and I appreciate their service. Highly recommended.

The view at breakfast was breathtaking: Istanbul landmarks on one side and Galata Tower standing right beside the hotel on the other. The breakfast itself was average for variety, and the tea service seemed tiring for the woman who had to keep refilling it each day. It would be easier for guests if tea were included in the buffet so they could serve themselves. Our stay was special and wonderful. The room décor was beautiful and elegant, and the hotel is in an exceptional, interesting location next to Galata Tower. There was a slight unpleasant smell from the bathroom that could use attention. The elderly man and woman who cleaned the rooms were exceptionally kind and friendly, which made a big difference. I recommend the experience; those small drawbacks felt minor next to the location and view.

The staff's treatment was awful, especially the woman at the coffee shop and the two men at reception. All the services were bad because of the staff, and their manners were poor. It feels like there's no management. Respectful treatment is the basis of tourism. I won't come back or recommend this place, and I'll warn people about it.

The rooftop terrace visit turned into one of my worst restaurant experiences. We ordered a few drinks, but the waiter was unprofessional and unwelcoming from the start. Before paying, I saw the bill had prices doubled from those on the menu. It felt like a scam, and staff refused to fix it when I pointed it out. They also said a service fee was mandatory for everyone, though nobody had mentioned that beforehand. My bill ended up more than 200% higher than it should have been. It seems like they're stealing customers' money. I mean it, I'd strongly advise others to avoid the place if they don't want to be taken advantage of.
