Breakfast had a good mix of traditional Turkish food and familiar choices, and I loved watching the sunset from the rooftop terrace, with the sea and mosque in view. My room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, with thoughtful touches. The hotel was peaceful despite being a short walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Grand Bazaar. The staff made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. It’s a great base for Istanbul's history, culture, and atmosphere, and I'd happily stay again. I highly recommend the arena Hotel for its comfort, convenience, and genuine Turkish hospitality.

Breakfast was tasty, and the staff were friendly and hospitable. The location is phenomenal, about five minutes from Sultan square, minutes from the T1 train, and a 20-minute walk from the ferry stop. There's no parking, but finding a spot is tricky across Istanbul, so it wasn't a big deal.

Our stay was a 10 out of 10 until the last day. The day receptionist, Suat, had arranged our morning taxi for the final day. He was excellent, really friendly and helpful, so thanks for everything. But when we came to reception at 6:50 am, the night receptionist had no idea about the booking and didn't seem to care whether we had a taxi. I said we'd already paid, and he simply refunded the money without apologizing or explaining. We'd been clearly told the taxi was confirmed, so this was disappointing. We had to get an Uber and nearly missed our flight. Then the driver got somewhat aggressive and asked us to pay extra in cash instead of through the app, until we told him to speak with Uber. To the night clerk, if you don't know how to give proper service, perhaps you should find another occupation.

I came with my wife and was really happy with what we got for the price. The atmosphere was very good, and the staff were polite, helpful, and spoke English. It's around a 10-15 minute walk to the blue mosque, with hills along the way, so keep that in mind if you're bringing kids or family.

We first stayed here in 2022 and came back in 2026. We'll definitely book it again next time. Özgür and his team are amazing, so friendly and helpful, and they make it easy for us to enjoy our vacations. A hidden gem in Fatih area of Istanbul.
