The location is a strong point: Galata Tower is about five minutes away, and it’s also a five-minute walk to the seaside and tram station. Our three-night stay as a couple at Azzap Hotel was just okay. The room was clean, but rather cramped, and the bathroom was quite small. There were no bathrobes or dental kits, and the coffee capsules weren’t replenished daily as stated. The bedsheets and towels, which were meant to be changed every other day, were never changed. The breakfast area was excellent and the seventh-floor view was stunning, though there wasn’t much choice, especially for gluten-free or lactose-free products. Dinner was overpriced and average; most of the food seemed to have been reheated in a microwave. The man serving dinner was professional and did his best to improve our experience. Overall, both the experience and food were just okay. It could be a decent choice if hotel facilities aren’t important to you.

The room was beautiful, spotless, comfortable and clearly well maintained. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious and beautifully prepared, a memorable meal. Breakfast had a great range of high-quality options, and the woman serving it was polite, kind and always ready to help. The reception team were friendly, welcoming and smiling, and made us feel cared for throughout. Everything exceeded expectations. I’d definitely return and recommend the hotel for a relaxing stay.

We had a great three-night stay at Azzap. The location was very convenient, a minute’s walk from most transport links and close to Galata Tower. The staff were professional, friendly and happy to answer our questions. The room felt small for the price, but that was the only downside.

Burcu, who looked after breakfast each morning, deserves a special mention. The staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us during our five-night November stay. We had excellent views of the Bosporus and the city from our room. The hotel is near Galata Bridge, which is well placed for the different ferry services. I’d definitely stay again on another Istanbul visit.

We only stayed briefly at Azzap Hotel Galata, but really enjoyed it. The room was very comfortable, and the team made us feel welcome from the start. Erhan at reception suggested lots of good places to explore and made check-in smooth and pleasant. The location works well for walking around both the old and new parts of the city, if you’re up for 20,000 steps a day. The tram and boats are also close by. And a big thank you to Burcu in the restaurant, such a warm, bright person who made breakfast even more enjoyable.
