Basilissis Hotel

We felt at ease throughout our stay, especially because the owner was so helpful and flexible. When we asked to leave earlier than planned, they agreed without hesitation. We really value that kind of flexibility. Highly recommended!

The area was convenient, close to attractions and public transport, and I liked the breakfast menu, even though the cafe was small. But the room felt like a storage room, and it was too tiny for a family. For the service and room, the price didn't feel worthwhile. They left drinking water once when we checked in, but didn't replace it after the room was cleaned each morning. There was no fridge or heater, and the WiFi was useless.

We found the building quietly tucked away in Istanbul, but still within walking distance of everything. The staff were very friendly, kind and always ready to help. Breakfast was wonderful, with plenty of options.

The location was good and breakfast was okay, but the room mix-up made for a rough stay. The hotel double-booked our room, and, like others have described, we felt they weren't honest about the reason. We spent the first night at the hotel across the street, where it was noisy until 3am. The next night, we were back at this hotel, but couldn't get into our room until 1pm. That left us stuck outside during a heavy rain shower.
