Blueway Hotel Residence

Finding Blueway Hotel Residence was a little adventure. It’s tucked down a side street, and my taxi driver and I circled around trying to locate it. Once there, though, the room was fresh, stylish, and really lovely, and the WiFi was fast enough to make up for the navigation hassle. Taksim Square is an easy walk away, and the location works well for exploring Istanbul or getting back to a quieter spot. I’d stay again. Save the hotel’s directions or call ahead for nearby landmarks instead of trusting GPS alone. Your driver might appreciate it too.

We were made to move to another suite before our check-in date, with no explanation or apology. The staff were rude and disrespectful from the moment we arrived, and the deposit was never returned despite several requests. The hotel seemed poorly managed, and the way we were treated left a very bad impression. I won’t come back or recommend it. Anyone considering a stay should think twice, since there are better places in Istanbul where guests are treated respectfully.

I stayed at Blueway Hotel for 20 days with my family, and we felt safe in Istanbul from the start thanks to the staff. They answered our questions and did their best to help with whatever we needed, with 24hour service. Hayder, Atakan, Mohamed, Mert and Volkan were all humble, respectful, and funny. The apartment looked nice inside, was clean, and had comfortable beds at an affordable price. It’s about a 20 minute walk from Taksim square, close to nice locations and a bus stop. We’ll definitely stay here again when we return to Istanbul. Thanks to Akif Bay, the owner, and his staff for making us feel at home.

The place was filthy, with spiders and cockroaches everywhere. Our room and toilet were very dirty, and the ceiling looked like it might fall on us. The service and management were awful, with very bad treatment. After I posted an honest negative review, an employee contacted me and called me a disgusting person. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I’d rather sleep on the street.
