If noise doesn’t bother you, you’ll probably be very satisfied here. The staff are friendly and usually helpful, the location is perfect, restaurants and bars are all around, and the sea is right there. I loved that, and if you like cats, the whole neighborhood will delight you. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. The rooms and bathrooms are large and look like they may have been renovated in the last couple of years. But there’s a big playground right across from the hotel, used by little kids from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and the area is lively too. There’s almost no sound insulation, and the windows aren’t very good, so you won’t get peace and quiet if you need it.

The worst part was being served coffee in a cup that hadn’t been washed after the previous guest. After that, I stopped taking breakfast, even though it was prepaid with the room, and went elsewhere. The kitchen staff’s English is poor, so don’t be surprised, as I was, if you ask for fried eggs and get boiled ones. Cleaning wasn’t done properly either. A long hair was still on the floor, and even after two cleanings the towel behind the bathroom door was still lying there, as if that spot didn’t exist for the cleaning staff.

I loved the neighborhood. It’s very walkable, and the people are lovely. The location was excellent, the bed super comfortable, the water pressure great, and the hot water never ran out. That’s all I need, and those things alone would earn five stars from me. Chips in the furniture or a broken bedside lamp might bother someone else, but they’re irrelevant to me.

For a short visit or budget business trip, this place can certainly work if you just need somewhere to crash. It’s a very basic hotel at a good price in a lively location. The rooms are reasonably clean, reception can communicate in English, and there’s a simple breakfast from 09:00 to 10:30. Just don’t expect too much.
