Senabil Hotel Old City

The restaurant service made for a very uncomfortable stay. The young woman working there and the tall gentleman of Syrian origin were extremely unfriendly and dismissive, which felt unprofessional. In my opinion, neither is suited to a customer-facing job because they didn’t offer the hospitality you’d expect. The hotel also doesn’t look like the online photos. The rooms are significantly smaller, and the fixtures feel fragile, so the $70 nightly rate seems unjustified. Given the standards, I’d say it’s worth a maximum of $40. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and the cleaning staff and two small young guys were wonderful, friendly, and hardworking.

We didn’t try the hotel breakfast during our stay, though it was available. The location was the standout: right beside a metro station elevator (see video), handy for getting to and from the airport. It’s central but on a quieter side, which made for good nights’ rest. The tram, ferry, Spice Bazaar, and Hagia Sophia are all within walking distance. A friend and I booked separate rooms, and we were both very satisfied, especially for the excellent price-quality ratio. Each room had more than enough space for one person, with plenty of room for luggage and a proper wardrobe. The bathroom was an acceptable size and met our needs. Thanks for a great stay, we’ll definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our 6 nights in this beautiful hotel. It’s very central, but on a quiet street. The room was clean, breakfast was nice, and the staff were kind.

The room was comfortable, clean, and well equipped, and breakfast was fresh with a good mix of local specialties and international options. The staff were very welcoming and ready to help with directions, recommendations, or anything else we asked. With major sights nearby, we could explore the old city on foot, and metro stations were close too. It felt like a warm home away from home. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return to Istanbul next time. Thank you :)
