Bram Hotel Istanbul

The owners, brothers Ali and Tarkan, looked after me from the moment I checked in until I left, and their hospitality made the stay special. My room was excellent, with probably the most comfortable bed of my whole trip, and breakfast was delicious each morning. The location on Istanbul's historic European side made exploring easy. Many of the city's main attractions are within walking distance. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel, anywhere. The staff were attentive and helpful, and their activity suggestions paid off when I followed them. I arrived two hours early and was greeted with big smiles, no questions asked. Bram Hotel is modern and clean, in a great neighborhood near the Blue Mosque, with good restaurants and stores nearby. There's a lovely rooftop deck where you can watch the sunset over tea. It's the best European hotel I've stayed in.

The rooftop terrace was a real highlight, and the room was clean and new. Breakfast was the best I've had at a hotel. It was a variation on the same meal, but there were so many different dishes, all yummy and tasting homemade. I'm usually not a breakfast person, but I looked forward to it every morning. This cozy hotel is family owned and managed, in a very touristy area. Ali, Tarkan, and the team made us feel like dear guests rather than customers. When we needed a small repair in the room, they looked at it that same day even though it wasn't urgent. Ali and Tarkan gave me thoughtful recommendations that really improved our trip. The other staff were kind, helpful, and efficient too. The glowing reviews I read before booking Bram hotel were more than deserved. The owners were gracious hosts who helped us get the most out of Istanbul. When we ran into trouble with a hot air balloon reservation, Ollie, one of the owners, made over 20 calls to get it sorted. Go to Istanbul, the people are lovely, the food is great, and the sites are amazing. Staying at the Bram Hotel is a bit of happiness insurance. There are fewer than 20 rooms, so it's more like a pensione. Our rooms were larger than expected for a hotel in a historic building. The bathrooms were fairly new and everything looked shiny. My one small but real complaint was the lack of counter space. There wasn't room for all the makeup and hair products a woman needs.
