We spent a lovely Ramadan holiday here with my family. Mr. Boran was a wonderful host. The hotel was in much better shape than other places we’ve stayed, and the rooms had everything we needed.

The host really made our stay. He helped with the luggage, checked us in late, and spoke excellent English. He was polite and considerate, and made us feel welcome. The rooms are a little worn, but clean and comfortable for the price. We had a great bed, hot water, a powerful hairdryer, and even a baby crib. The main drawback was the noise in the morning: the wooden floors creak, and you can hear other guests walking, which can interrupt your sleep. Still, we had a pleasant stay.

The reception guy was friendly and gave us really useful information. The location is excellent, right in the historic center, with most major sights within walking distance. Prices are very affordable, and the room had good facilities: TV, A/C, strong Wi-Fi, a wardrobe, small fridge, kettle, and hair dryer. There was no balcony in our room, but that wasn’t an issue. For me, the combination of location, price, and service made it a very good choice, with just a few small notes.

Our worst experience in Istanbul. We didn’t get the room we booked and were instead sent to a nearby hotel they claimed was just as good. The rooms there were tiny and unhygienic. I really wouldn’t recommend it.

We’d happily stay here again on our next Istanbul trip. The staff were kind, friendly, and responsive, and our room was clean, tidy, nicely furnished, and well equipped. It’s a family hotel in the historic center, with the main sights easy to reach on foot and plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby.
