Casa Galata 35

The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and Casa Galata 35 felt like the perfect place to stay in Istanbul. It's a lovely family-run business. We were close to all the main attractions, only minutes from Istiklal Street and a 15-minute walk to Galata Bridge, so we never needed a cab. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with a washing machine and a full kitchen if you want to eat in. They provided two bottles of water each day and kindly let us check out late, at 1:30 pm, free of charge. A great mix of comfort, location, and genuine hospitality, one of our best stays in Turkey.

Nazli made the place feel like home, and was warm and helpful whenever we needed anything. We stayed four nights and found the location ideal for sightseeing, with markets, shops, and restaurants nearby. We can’t wait to come back!

We didn’t get a good night’s sleep any night during our trip, even with earplugs. Our first-floor room faced a busy street, so we could hear people talking and plenty of traffic. We asked to move, but staff said the second floor had the same noise problem and offered a quieter room for our third night. That never happened. If sleep matters to you, don’t book here.

The rooms were clean and well kept, with a nice view, good AC, and washing machines. It’s a few minutes’ walk from Istiklal street, with plenty of restaurants and cafes close by. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful.
