Center Hill Hotel

The city centre location was handy, with most attractions only a few kilometres away, but looking back, I wouldn’t pay that much for this hotel. We arrived late after our flight into Istanbul and found a small budget hotel. Although we’d booked a deluxe room, the first-floor room was tiny, with a queen bed and hardly any room to move. It was clean, at least. The bathroom was poor: the washbasin looked more decorative than useful, and the shower cubicle was so cramped it seemed to end before you’d even stepped inside. The lift barely fit two people. Breakfast was very average, with few choices.

The bed was so comfortable and welcoming, and the bathroom was warm with plenty of hot water. The room itself looked lovely, decorated in pale blue and silvery wood, and everything was beautifully clean. All the staff, from reception and housekeeping to the restaurant, were first rate. Thanks to the chef too. It was a wonderful stay, and I’ll be back.

Breakfast was elaborate, the Wi-Fi was high speed, and the rooms were spacious and clean, with spotless linen. The surroundings are beautiful, the location convenient, and the staff friendly and helpful. In Room 103, though, the low mirror shelf gets in the way when using the basin, and there’s no shelf in the shower cubicle. Otherwise, I strongly recommend this place to tourists.

The breakfasts were a highlight, with plenty of Turkish specialties alongside international staples. We also enjoyed the daytime service from the partner Querencia restaurant on the ground floor and terrace, which gives hotel guests a 20% discount. Bedii and the other staff were always around and ready to help, and we really appreciated their hospitality. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Istanbul. This is a cozy little hotel in the heart of Old Istanbul. Everything was very clean, rooms were serviced daily, and the rooms had lovely renovated styling plus lots of small conveniences. We were given a free upgrade to a room with a hammam instead of a standard bathroom, which we enjoyed. Even in cold, sleety weather, the room stayed comfortable thanks to the powerful radiator. There’s also an airport transfer at a reasonable price through a professional partner company.
