We had a good breakfast, but other parts of the stay left us disappointed and spoiled part of our trip at De Piero Hotel in Istanbul. At checkout, we were made to pay an extra “laundry fee” over ordinary makeup marks on the face towels, something common at hotels. The receptionist who called himself Mustafa was very rude and handled it without professionalism or respect, making an unnecessary, uncomfortable situation. We also didn’t feel the location was good or safe, especially for women traveling alone, so future guests should know about that. We hope the hotel reconsiders this kind of charge, trains staff better, and takes guest safety more seriously.

The room was spacious, with a great bathroom, and the cleaning crew were kind and did their job really well. Breakfast had a nice range of choices, and check-in and checkout at reception were easy. It’s a small but luxurious, quiet hotel near the metro and the sea. The location is down a small alley that feels dark and scary at night, though it’s still not far from the main street.

The location is perfect, close to Galata tower, and the breakfast is amazing. Emre, Elifi and Azat at reception were the best, always smiling and taking care of us. Thanks for all your help. I recommend this place.

The location is excellent, close to the Galata Tower and just six minutes from the Karaköy ferry terminal. Breakfast was delicious and varied every morning, and all the staff were so friendly. Thanks to the cleaning staff for their work, and especially to Mr. Hazat at reception, who looked after us so well from day one. I highly recommend the hotel and would definitely come back on my next visit to Istanbul.
