The place is very basic, but that’s what I expected for the price. Everything was clean and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The kitchen was decent and had what you’d need, though nothing special. They’ve got the basics right, and the location in Taksim is fantastic. I’d definitely stay here again.

This was the worst place. The receptionist seemed stoned. They took a Hostelworld booking, then told us they were full when we got there. They also wouldn’t return our deposit and pretended not to speak English, even though they did. The least they could have done was act professionally.

A comfortable, well-priced place if you want to stay very close to Istiklal, Istanbul’s most famous street.

A clean, pleasant hostel with attentive young staff. It’s in a handy spot, not far from either the metro or tram stations.

It’s very cheap, but don’t expect a big room to fall in love with.
