Sorriso Hotel Due

We found the location very nice, and the staff were kind and helpful. Our request for a slightly bigger room wasn’t met, so getting a smaller one was disappointing. Breakfast also felt repetitive from day to day, and the food, especially the cheese, didn’t seem fresh or taste very good. It wasn’t a bad stay, but there’s room to improve the breakfast and rooms.

For the price, I expected better value from a 4-star hotel. Breakfast was plain and repetitive, and there was no espresso. My room had no windows, and water was supplied only on the first day. Some employees were helpful and friendly, though a few came across as cold. The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, and the hotel generally quiet. It’s also close to the metro and tram, which made getting around Istanbul easy.

The staff were very kind, and the hotel itself is beautiful. My room was good, but the bathroom needs attention: there was some mould in the corners, especially where the shower doors let water leak out. Cleaning during the stay could have been better too. I was disappointed by the limited breakfast selection, considering we paid for it.

At Sorriso Due Hotel, the receptionist was rude and unwelcoming from check-in and dismissed me when I brought up problems, showing little interest or empathy in resolving them. The room was in poor shape, worn and needing repairs, and its amenities didn’t match what had been advertised. It had no windows and felt claustrophobic. I’d hoped for a pleasant trip, but the room and service both let the stay down. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
