Emirid Hotel

After arriving at 10 p.m., a kind stranger offered me tea and helped me find a clean, lovely, welcoming place at Loccum on the same street. I’d been left out on the street with my bags after asking for a refund, and the people there shouted that I wouldn’t get one. The situation felt hostile, and I wanted nothing more to do with them for my own safety. The driver couldn’t find the hotel from the airport until a local directed me to what looked like a tourist information office, where they confirmed I was in the right place. The hotel name and the images online didn’t seem to match any real hotel. They charged my card without my consent even though I’d chosen to pay on arrival. Through a door beside the office, there was a passage to two very old, run-down rooms above two restaurants. One room had a large hole in the door. Mine looked nothing like the pictures, had a broken toilet and dirty shower, and contained two double beds in what seemed like a former storeroom. It was the only room they showed me, and they couldn’t explain what was happening or who they were. Two other people reportedly had similar experiences after me: their cards were charged and they were sent to sleep in different buildings on the same street. The three of us had all booked under Emirid hotel but ended up in run-down rooms in separate buildings. Please be careful, and don’t share your card details with them.
