Emsa Otel Maltepe

The main staff seemed to care mostly about money and didn’t really care about guests. They greeted us coldly. Our balcony looked onto a parking area, and the walls barely blocked sound, so we could hear another room’s TV all the time. The bathroom was cold and had a window that wouldn’t close. In the morning, the main staff pressured us to check out. At exactly 10 o’clock they took the breakfast away, without even waiting for us to finish. I wouldn’t recommend staying here in Maltepe.

I enjoyed the stay. It felt comfortable and like home, with a nice breakfast and markets nearby. The hotel is close to Marmaray metro station "Maltepe" and 5-10 minutes on foot from the sea. I liked walking along the shore in the daytime and along the shopping street at night. The price is great too: 100 TL for a single room and 150 TL for a room for two if you book directly with the hotel. I booked through Agoda and paid 115 TL for a single. Cleanliness was good, though it could be better.

I wasn’t even staying here, but when my phone ran out of battery, the staff helped me. They’re amazing, really good staff.

It’s close to the city centre, in a quiet spot, and the rooms are clean and large. Breakfast is the one thing I didn’t like. It’s very basic and doesn’t feel worth what you paid.
