The room was clean, but the cigarette smell made my allergies worse, and the lighting wasn’t great. Still, it served its purpose as a place close to everything, with clubs and dinner spots within walking distance. The bathtub had warm water, and breakfast was good with a variety of options.

I loved my stay and would recommend the hotel. The people are hospitable and the staff are helpful, especially Mr. Burak. He’s energetic, speaks English very nicely, and is always there doing his best to make things easier for guests. Breakfast was delicious, too. The nice older lady serving on the rooftop terrace always welcomed guests with a motherly smile.

Only the location worked for us. Everything else was disappointing, and I won’t return. The place is overpriced, tiny compared with the pictures, smelly, uncomfortable and below average. There was a horrible odor from the heating system and a bad rubber smell in the room, with no air conditioning. The staff were unfriendly at check-in, and the room key failed twice. We felt they were irritated when we asked them to let us into our room. The shower pressure was almost nonexistent, the shower itself was poor, and the bathroom bulbs blew.

It’s okay and suitable enough if you’re not expecting a luxurious hotel. The room was clean, and breakfast was okay. The restaurant at the very top had a nice view. There weren’t many TV channels, with too many Turkish ones, but who needs TV when they’re traveling? The hotel is right in the middle of downtown.

Breakfast was good, and the hotel is about a four-minute walk from Taksim. But the room wasn’t clean, and the bathroom is old and needs maintenance. We spent all seven nights asking for water and tissues every day, so the service was poor. If you want somewhere near Taksim, I’d look at other, cheaper options.
