I left after one night instead of the four I’d planned. Once daylight came, more problems with the room were obvious, and I took photos that morning. The manager told me this was normal and that I hadn’t seen other hotels, adding that his hotel wasn’t a hospital. The staff didn’t make me feel welcome. I checked in late, and the lighting was very dim. Even so, the pillows looked dirty, and they were replaced when I asked. There was no drinking water, and the shower barely worked and leaked. The room was stuffy, and I couldn’t properly change the AC temperature or fan power. It made a strange noise and smelled odd. There’s a road right by the hotel with lots of cars, and the closed window did little to keep the street noise out. For the same money, I think you can find a much better hotel in the same area.

The room was spacious, with plenty of room to open our suitcase, and the location was handy, about a five-minute walk from the mosque. The staff were okay, but one person couldn’t speak English, so we weren’t able to communicate with him. There was visible mold in many places, especially in the bathroom, and the room didn’t feel very clean. We were on the ground floor just behind reception, next to the street. Early in the morning, big tour buses brought a lot of noise. I wouldn’t recommend it, as you can find better places for a similar price.

We were just passing through as tourists, but the manager made us feel like old friends. He offered coffee and beer, chatted with us, shared helpful tips, and arranged a place to park our motorbikes. We became friends, and maybe we’ll book a room next time. Topkapi palace is a minute away. Worth trying, thanks!

We felt safe in the area even at night, and there are bus stops, restaurants, and shops close by. The room had everything we needed, with an amazing view from the window. Service was good, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

The location is really good, and the price felt fair for the time of year and where it is. The receptionists were lovely and gave us large rooms. I’d recommend it if you’re travelling with a big family.
