The terrace view was one of the best parts of our stay at Galata Door Hotel. It's a beautiful place with a cozy feel, and everything was very clean. Our beds were comfortable, too. The host was professional, kind, and helped with everything we needed. After checkout, they even let us leave our luggage there at no extra charge until we returned for our flight. We really appreciated that. Great hospitality, highly recommended.

The location is very good, close to Galata Tower, istiklal street, and the F2 funicular, with paid parking about 100 m away. But the hygiene was very bad. There were old cigarette butts on the balcony floor, black hairs on the floor and bathroom wall even though none of us has long black hair, and mold on a shower ceiling that looked ready to fall. Daily cleaning just meant emptying the trash. The balcony photos are misleading about the space: two people can't sit there, and one of the two chairs was folded because there wasn't room. The balcony door handle was broken. We asked for an ashtray and got a dirty one from the receptionist's desk. There's no iron in the room, so we requested one, but the iron they brought was dirty and its cable was peeled with wires exposed. The mattress and pillows were so uncomfortable that after four nights we came home with back and neck pain. Disappointing despite the good location.

The breakfast had a good range of choices and was delicious, and the staff made us feel really welcome. Our room was spotless, modern, and comfortable. Galata Door Hotel is perfectly located for exploring the central Galata area. I had a wonderful stay and would choose it again next time I'm in Istanbul. Highly recommended.

We felt very welcome and well looked after at Galata Door Hotel. The host was courteous, friendly, and happy to accommodate all our requests. Having the option of transport to and from the airport was really helpful, and the location made it easy to get to sights and restaurants. We'd definitely come back.

Cafes, restaurants, shops, and pharmacies were all so close that I didn't have to think about anything. The hotel is two minutes from the main street, Istiklal, which is a main attraction too. Its location is amazing, and the room was a real surprise, very nice and clean. I stayed for two nights and arrived around 2am, but the host was welcoming and friendly, showed me around, and helped with WiFi, a SIM card, and food. The AC really saved me during my stay. Next time I'm coming back here, 100%.
