Grand Sami Hotel

I arrived from the airport exhausted after booking and paying through the Trip.com app, only to find a sign saying the hotel was closed. Locals told me it had been shut for a long time. It had taken nearly three hours to get there, and I was left sitting and crying, feeling cheated out of my time and money. Then the app said there would be no refund. Why hadn’t Trip.com checked whether the place was open? It made me wonder if the app was a scam. I urge other travelers not to fall for this like I did.

Worst hotel. The place felt dirty, people were very rude, and there was no commitment. Our room had no TV or refrigerator, and they didn’t have breakfast. Bad, bad, bad. Don’t stay here even one night.

I booked a family suite through Lastminute.com, as advertised, but when I arrived in Türkiye the hotel said it wasn’t available. They gave me two small rooms that were poorly maintained and unhygienic, and didn’t match the description or quality of what I’d booked. I contacted Lastminute.com straight away. Later, they sent me conflicting information, claiming the hotel had provided the original room. That was entirely false, and I felt misled and denied the service I’d paid for. After I returned to London, my bank helped me get the refund.

The government has sealed the hotel.
